Radiology

Using a variety of imaging procedures, radiologists can observe the inside of the body, and assess or diagnose a patient’s condition. Timely diagnosis using radiological techniques is proven to be life-saving for patients suffering from conditions such as Cancer. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the healthcare workers in the Department of Radiology, HLH have also proven their significance as they played an important role in the management of severely ill COVID-19 patients.
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Al-Sheikh Hospital is one of the best in Punjab with advanced and modern imaging equipment providing the fullest range of radiological and ultrasound diagnostic services. The state-of-the-art department performs thousands of radiological and ultrasound procedures every year and offers a wide range of non-invasive and interventional radiological services.

Computed tomography (CT), also known as a computerized axial tomography (CAT) scan: We have state of the art 128 slices aquilion CT machine. Whole body scans including CT cardiac angiography and CT guided biopsies are being performed routinely.
Ultrasound: Our ultrasound department is unique in that it caters to the stupendous workload owing to the enormous gynecological patient turnover. Our reports are timely and reliable. Color Doppler and a multitude of various ultrasounds and guided procedures are being performed routinely.

Interventional radiology: Ultrasound / Ultrasonography , CT and fluoroscopic guided interventional procedures (biopsy, aspiration, Catheter insertion, embolization etc) are being performed at our department by qualified interventional radiologists.
General Radiology: Complete range of X-rays provided for OPD and IPD patients with a massive turnover.
Fluoroscopy: GI Barium studies, hysterosalpingography, IVU studies, and many more are being routinely performed augmenting the diagnosis for our surgery, nephrology, oncology, gynecology and pediatric departments.
Mammography: Our department in collaboration with surgery and oncology, provides state of art facility for breast related diseases.
